They're pretty much a band led by tim kasher with a few other members, including ted stevens. they play very good music. that's how i would describe them.

Emo is a very weird. It started as a deeper, more experimental twin of hardcore-punk, then it went through a weird indie phase, and now it is an unrecognizable mess of a genre. While I don't think it is really "emo", I would venture to say that it has obvious post-hardcore influences (as heard in Sink To The Beat).
