Levitation Magic Tricks
Levitation Magic Tricks come in many forms. There's the classic levitation of the magician or the magician's assistant. There's the levitation of such objects as matches, dollar bills, and cards. The potential is nearly limitless.
Although we've used an image of David Copperfield in levitation, nearly all magician's (including David Blaine and Criss Angel) incorporate levitation magic tricks, in one form or another, into their acts. Below, we've listed some of the secrets behind these tricks.

Floating
Sunglasses - Effect - The magician removes a
pair of sunglasses from his pocket. With a snap of the fingers, both arms on the
glasses unfold by themselves. After a few moments of concentration, the glasses
suddenly begin floating up and out of his right hand over to his left hand. The
glasses mysteriously fly up out of his hand again and begin spinning in midair.
Forming his hands into a loop, the glasses pass right through them, eliminating
suspicion of threads or wires. On command, the glasses fly down almost to the
floor, then all the way up to his face. Plucking the glasses out of the air, the
magician puts them on and takes his bow.
The Floating Glasses Comes With: Custom-Made, Gimmicked Sunglasses with Case,
Mesika's Roller with 500 feet of Invisible Thread inside, Special Wax,
Instructional Video, Fully Illustrated Instructional Booklet.
Self
Levitation - this was a feature and one of the most
talked about items on David Blaine's Magic Special. This DVD teaches the
complete work for this practical yet amazing levitation.
As ingenious as all previous methods of levitation have
been, they all have one thing in common they require some kind of gimmick - that
is, until now! What has been called "The Balducci Levitation" requires
no special gimmicks at all - just your body and your performing skills. On this
video tape, Michael Maxwell not only teaches you how to properly perform The
Balducci Levitation but he also shares exclusive inside tips from David Roth.
David has made the levitation one of his featured effects for lay audiences for
many year and has never tipped the "real work" until now!
Real
Floating Card Eric James - what some are calling the best of the best when it comes to close-up levitations. The performer shows his hands empty on both sides, then hands hand out or borrows a deck of cards for shuffling. A spectator then selects a card and places it on top of the deck.
The magician retrieves the deck and openly places it on his outstretched palm. He tells everyone to concentrate on the card as he starts his "meditation." After a few moments, the card eerily begins to rise higher and higher off the pack! It floats up and down in an amazingly smooth way as if the card is somehow floating on a cloud.
Now for the best part-the performer removes another card from the pack and waves it above, below and all around the card while it's floating in mid-air! The spectator's can look anywhere they want-this is angle free!
