Criss Angel
Criss Angel appears on the top-rated series Mindfreak, the first
weekly magic series in forty years. Angel has performed more magic on prime-time
television in the United States than anyone in history. He has performed on
Broadway and in a number of television specials, and has received numerous
awards throughout his career. He has been named magician of the year three
times, making him the first three-time recipient ever to receive this most
coveted award. He resides in Las Vegas and New York.
Angel had his first
1–hour special on ABC in '01, headlined Madison Square Garden's annual
Halloween special a year later to an audience of 60,000, performed in front of
75,000 people in Times Square, had two subsequent 1–hour specials on the Sci–Fi
Channel, received countless magician awards, and currently continues his weekly show on A&E
(Tuesdays at 10 PM/ 9PM Central)
MindFreak:
Season One - captures the creative genius at work, preparing and training for his
often death-defying demonstrations. From levitating ordinary spectators
to literally dangling by his skin from a helicopter one thousand feet
above the Valley of Fire in Las Vegas, Criss Angel brings his
extraordinary talents to the streets of America - live, un-staged and
without the use of any camera tricks.
On DVD for the first time, experience all 15 provocative episodes,
featuring celebrity guests like Jonathan David of KORN, Mandy Moore, and Penn & Teller.
MindFreak Halloween Special DVD - Magician-illusionist Criss Angel
celebrates Halloween and honors the 79th anniversary of Harry Houdini's passing
with a series of nifty tricks.
At the Magic Castle stage, Criss Angel performs some of his signature effects
and the never before seen Matrix (where he literally jumps into another human)
and offers up new supernatural demonstrations of mentalism in front of a live
audience.
There's also a visit to Angel's friends, metal band Korn (where the performer
yanks thread from his eyeball), and a nostalgic visit to the magic shop that
inspired him as a boy. After paying respects at Houdini's grave, Angel gets
locked and handcuffed inside a wooden box and placed on the conveyor belt
feeding the chipper's rotating blades of steel. The result could be a wonder, or
it could be a bloody mess—either way, one's pulse quickens.
